The Sims 5 has been in development since early 2019, but we only heard about its development from EA President Andrew Wilson himself, who confirmed in an interview the game’s development in early 2020.
The game is being developed by Maxis Studios, in the same place where The Sims 4 was developed in Redwood Shores.
Without a doubt, the Sims 5 is one of the most awaited games for fans of everyday life simulation games. Unfortunately, we don’t have a release date set, although it has been confirmed to be in development for over a year.
Taking into account previous releases, the game is likely to be released sometime in 2022.
However, everything leads us to believe that there is a possibility of interacting with other players, increasing our interaction with the world and also the social reality.

Considering actual release terms, it’s possible that The Sims 5 release date is the end of 2022. However, it’s important to consider the franchise’s release history and that The Sims 4 is still being explored by the company. In practice, this may indicate a longer wait to try the simulation game.
The director also revealed that, unlike the last title in the franchise, The Sims 5 promises more social interactions and competition. Bring back open-world exploration
One of the best things about the third simulation game is that it felt like your house was part of a big neighborhood, and the game lets you explore freely without seeing a loading screen like in the 4th game. You can visit your neighbor’s houses, borrow a glass of sugar, or just say hi. You can also go shopping, discover things around the suburbs, or even walk the streets with a companion. Everything looks like it’s a real city.
For some reason, the fourth took it all away. Instead of being free and being able to visit your neighborhood, you need to click on a travel menu to go to different places, and of course, the loading screen could not be missing. Fans are waiting for when is Sims 5 coming out to have the freedom we had before and even more.
More transport options in The Sims 5
Connected with this desire for an open world comes the desire to explore the world with vehicles just like in The Sims 3. You don’t need to be using your own legs to visit places, why not go to your garage and get a vehicle and go around?
Or even order a taxi or ride with a Sim. A variety of these would be super welcome to the universe of The Sims.
