The foremost material you need to make soap is lye and fat. In order to make lye, you have to make ash. You can produce ash in a wood furnace. Precisely, burn some wood at the furnace according to the amount of ash needed.
Once you get the ash, you have to turn them to lye. You have to do this procedure in Ashery. As a matter of fact, you can build the Ashery very easily. Specifically, you can easily build an Ashery from the build menu. Moreover, this build menu is similar to the one you have used for crafting workshops.
The oils available in the game are of two types. You can have oil and tallow. Precisely, you have to grind olive seeds in a screw press to get oil. On the other hand, you can get tallow by killing a specific animal in the kitchen. You can make tallow by rendering the fat gathered from the dead animal.
